Well, the Bears are off to a pretty good start! Six goals in two games, and each one has been scored by a different player. Did I mention they are now 2-0? The Bears beat their archrival, the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins by a score of 3-2 tonight, and it looks like this scoring won’t be stopping anytime soon.

Kyle Greentree would put the Bears on the board first, on only the second shot of the game for the Bears, giving them a 1-0 lead. Wilkes-Barre’s Brian Gibbons would then tie it up at one apiece with about five minutes to go in the first. Only 20 seconds later, Matt Ford would give that one goal lead back to the Bears by scoring on Brad Thiessen as he was screened by Boyd Kane, which made it 2-1.

But the Baby Pens would not go down easy. Niko Dimitrakos popped one past Dany Sabourin, tying the game at two. Over 20 minutes would pass until another goal would be scored, and the goal belonged to the Bears. Keith Aucoin would score the game winner, 3:33 into the 3rd, and giving the Bears a 3-2 win.

Tonight’s Notes:

  • Flemming, Rechlicz, Miskovic, and Mink (vet scratch) were all out of the line-up tonight as Mark French’s scratches.
