Video: Cody Eakin’s First Professional Multi-Goal Game

The Hershey Bears have out-scored their opponents 13-9 in their first three games on the season. Two of those goals belong to Capitals’ 2009 third-round pick, Cody Eakin, who is playing in his first-full season in the AHL. The 20-year-old Winnipeg native, who is wearing #14 this year, had a milestone Friday night in Norfolk, notching his first professional multi-goal game. Let’s recap! In the second period, Eakin scored on the power play rifling a sick one-timer from the right circle high-and-stick-side past Admirals goaltender Dustin Tokarski. In the third, he took what seemed to be a harmless jaunt into Norfolk’s offensive zone with four Admirals passively guarding him. Eakin then ripped a snapshot from the slot to score goal number two. The Bears went on to win 7-5 and are now undefeated on the year, 3-0-0.
