The team to go the rest of the way…
Yesterday’s AHL Clear Day deadline has come and gone. From now til the end of the season, these will be the players in the Bears lineup. Exceptions of course for call-ups and injuries. Take a look at who made the list after the jump.
- Braden Holtby (G)
- Dany Sabourin (G)
- Keith Aucoin
- Chris Bourque
- Julien Brouillette
- Mike Carman
- Andrew Carroll
- Sean Collins
- Cody Eakin
- Kyle Greentree
- Christian Hanson
- Boyd Kane
- Tomas Kundratek
- Kevin Marshall
- Patrick McNeill
- Jacob Micflikier
- Graham Mink
- Dmitry Orlov
- Matt Pope
- Ryan Potulny
- Joel Rechlicz
- Patrick Wellar
It looks like I was fairly close. There will be additions right away for Orlov and Aucoin who are in Washington. Hanson and Micflikier are both injured, so there will be fill-ins there as well. Fan favorite Joel Rechlicz made the list over D.J King. That one was a coin toss for me, but I made the choice for King. I thought he had more chemistry with his line mates than Rechlicz. What do you think of the list? Anyone not on it that you think should have been?
UPDATE: Not included in the roster, but still in Hershey are D.J. King, Maxime Lacroix, Zach Miskovic, Garrett Mitchell

The reason King didn’t get included is due to the veteran rule. He counts as a Veteran-Exempt, just like Greentree.
IF Aucoin comes back, the Bears would have a full stable of veterans and King would again be the odd man out as Greentree would surely get a sweater over DJ. As long as Coiner stays in Washington (or god forbid another NHL city) I suspect King will be a relative regular in the lineup.
I think Recker actually has more to offer as far as team support.,..
