It may have been a preseason game, but it’s without doubt a moment to rave about. The Washington Capitals defeated the Philadelphia Flyers in their second preseason game in similar fashion compared to Saturday.

In Hockeyville 2013, Mike Green was the shootout hero with the skills competition’s lone tally. Two days later, Joel Rechlicz scored in a shootout to beat the Flyers in stunning fashion, 4-3.

Ryan Stoa tied the game with an unassisted goal during the final minute, leading to the classic Rechlicz moment.

The Caps return to the ice tomorrow night in D.C. against the Boston Bruins. The time table for the next round of roster cuts is unknown as of Monday night.
