With the Washington Capitals needing to cut one more man off the opening night roster before tomorrow, they do so via trade. The Capitals have announced former Bear forward Mathieu Perreault has been traded to the Anaheim Ducks organization.
In return the Capitals received John Mitchell, who will report to Hershey. The Capitals yield a fourth round draft pick in process. The trade means Michael Latta and Tom Wilson have cracked the opening night roster for the Capitals.
Joel Rechlicz will also report to Hershey at noon tomorrow if he clears waivers. He was released by the Caps training camp roster in the early afternoon.
The Hershey Bears kick off the 2013-14 campaign on October 5th, against the Adirondack Phantoms.
