Hershey Bears Line Brawl, Pheonix Copley Goalie Fight (Photos and Video)
HERSHEY, PA – Pheonix Copley fights Kevin Poulin of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers Saturday night during the Hershey Bears game against Bridgeport (Kyle Mace / Chocolate Hockey)
All heck broke lose Saturday night at Giant Center with 4:20 remaining in the second period against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. It all started with goaltender interference on Pheonix Copley that went uncalled, knocking the stick out of his hands. He made a glove save to put play to a halt, where a scrum quickly escalated.
What started between Steve Oleksy and Brett Gallant eventually led to a goalie fight between Copley and Kevin Poulin, along with multiple ten minute misconducts and an ejection to Connor Carrick. Gallant received a double game misconduct, and Scott Mayfield was also penalized at a large margin for leaving the penalty box to fight Chris Brown.
Liam O’Brien was caught leaving the bench in the incident as well. The game resumed with the new goalie match up of former Bear David Leggio versus Philipp Grubauer.

Haha, I love how nonchalant SteveO looks in that first pic. “Oh, look. Blood. Hmm.”
You boys stood tall. Way to be, Bears.
