A Closer Look at the Chris Bourque Garden Gnome

This may be the best giveaway the Hershey Bears will ever have. Saturday night will be Chris Bourque Garden Gnome night. Next to the Buck Showalter Garden Gnome, this is the greatest garden gnome we’ve ever seen.

“I mean I didn’t design it that’s for sure,” said Chris Bourque about it. “But it’s alright.”

Chris’ younger brother, Ryan, had other thoughts about the gnome. “I think it’s extremely well done,” he said Wednesday. “I like the characteristics of it. The traits are eerily similar. I think every gnome is a little wider than it is tall. We won’t give him too much grief over that. It will look good in a lot of different gardens around Hershey.”

“Everyone thinks it’s my body type so it kind of fits well, so that’s good,” Chris said.

The first five-thousand fans Saturday night will receive a garden gnome modeled after the AHL’s leading scorer.
