Hershey Bears win Attendance Title for 11th Straight Season

Since the 2006-07 season, the Hershey Bears have been untouchable in the race for the AHL attendance record each season. The 2016-17 season was no different. With 353,759 fans visiting Giant Center over 38 games, an average of 9,309 fans a game gave Hershey their 11th attendance title in as many seasons.

In those 11 seasons, Hershey has seen 4,051,937 hockey fans watch 428 games in Chocolate Town.

This season, Cleveland found themselves behind Hershey for second with 344,094 total fans for an average of 9,055 over 38 games. In third was San Diego with 301,776 total fans, averaging 8,876 over 34 games.

Hershey will look to keep the attendance title next year as well, with the help of an outdoor game promising a crowd over 17,000 to add to their total in the 80th season in team history.
