Nathan Walker claimed by Edmonton, Bindulis re-assigned to South Carolina
Forward Nathan Walker was claimed off waivers Friday by the Edmonton Oilers and added to their NHL roster.
Walker, who made the Capitals roster out of training camp, has only played seven games this season.
The 23-year-old Australian native spent four seasons with Hershey before joining Washington’s NHL roster this season.
If Walker is placed on waivers again, he can be claimed by Washington an assigned to Hershey if not claimed by another team.
Isabelle Khurshudyan of the Washington Post reported that Edmonton was not the only team that put a claim in for Walker either.
Nathan Walker has not cleared waivers. Picked up by the Edmonton Oilers. They weren't the only ones to put a claim in either.

In addition to Walker’s non-clearance, defenseman Kris Bindulis has been re-assigned to ECHL South Carolina.
Hershey returns to the ice Friday night against Lehigh Valley in Allentown.
