Hershey Bears Outdoor Hockey + Heels event provides unique opportunity for female fans

With the 2018 Outdoor Classic just days away, Thursday night allowed female fans of the Chocolate and White an opportunity to get up close and personal with the Hersheypark Stadium rink and chat with some of their favorite Bears.

The event, which is in its fifth year, was held on the Outdoor Rink for the first time, allowed fans to skate on the ice, as well as learn about the process that goes into building a hockey rink on a football field.

The night was split up into two parts: a Question and Answer session with Bears players Lucas Johansen and Jonas Siegenthaler, along with members of the ice rink build team and Hershey’s corporate staff, and a skating session with Colby Williams, Connor Hobbs, Tyler Lewington and Mason Mitchell.

After the two sessions were over, the ladies in attendance enjoyed a dinner in the VIP tent behind the stage, something that Coco the Bear also enjoyed very much.
