Bobby Nardella grabs his first pro goal

Bobby Nardella scored his first pro goal Sunday night against the Leigh Valley Phantoms.

While the Bears were on their first and only power play of the game, Philippe Maillet found Christian Djoos at the blueline and sent over the puck. Djoos crossed the puck to Nardella, giving Bobby a spot in the top corner above the Phantom’s goaltender and extending Hershey’s lead 3-1.

With Nardella back in the lineup and on the Bears power-play line, the PP unit has been on point. “He’s done an excellent job. We weren’t having a ton of success even though we were doing a ton of good things. [Since] he stepped into the first shooter roll, we’ve been scoring” head coach Spencer Carbery said postgame.

“Call it puck luck, call it Bobby Nardella, but that’s a huge goal,” Carbery added.
