Bears bring cheer to Penn State Children’s Hospital

On Tuesday afternoon, members of the Hershey Bears Hockey Club visited and brought holiday cheer to the patients and their families at Penn State Children’s Hospital.

Kale Kessy, Chris McCarthy, Tyler Lewington, and Eddie Wittchow helped build (and snack on) gingerbread houses with the children, sharing big smiles and a lot of laughter.

“Anytime we get to come out and put a smile on these kids’ faces, its something that makes us happy,” Lewington said while eating a gumdrop. “Its fun to watch.”

“It’s cool they let us come here to have fun with the children, especially during this time of the year,” Kessy mentioned. “It’s fun for everyone, the kids, families and [the players].”
