Back-to-back wins. Those are words you’ve only seen once here this season and once again, it didn’t happen for the Bears on Friday. Coming off an impressive come from behind victory in Binghamton on Wednesday, the Bears failed to follow up with another victory and lost to Wilkes-Barre Scranton on Friday night 5-3.

The Bears gave up three goals in just over 12 minutes and found themselves down 3-0 after the first period. Hershey came back with goal from Ryan Stoa and Nicolas Deschamps, less than a minute apart to cut the lead to 3-2 and it looked like it might be a repeat of Wednesday night’s comeback.

But Tom Kostopoulos gave the Penguins a 5-2 advantage in the the third period and the Bears could not recover. The Penguins would wind up scoring five goals on just 20 shots against David Leggio. The lost keeps Hershey in last place 10 points behind the first place Pens.

The Bears look to recover facing Binghamton Saturday night 7pm at Giant Center. The game is currently on as scheduled, despite the weather. Log onto Sweetest Hockey on Earth for any weather updates on tonight’s game.
