Wednesday morning, the Washington Capitals announced they have recalled Michal Neuvirth from Hershey. Neuvirth was on loan from DC to Hershey to help heal an ankle which was injured during warm-ups in Washington.
The 25-year-old Czech Republic native made one rehab start with the Chocolate and White, allowing four goals on 37 shots in Hershey’s 7-4 win over Binghamton.
Philipp Grubauer, who has been on a hot streak with the NHL club, has not been assigned by the Capitals, leaving Hershey with David Leggio and Brandon Anderson for the Bears’ Wednesday night game against Syracuse. That puck drop is at 7pm.
