It was a meeting of the rivals in Hershey for one last time this regular season. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins made their last stop in Chocolate Town, USA for the 2014-15 season. The Bears, who came into the game going 10-1-0-1 in 2015 was looking to expand their lead for first place in the East Division. With a packed Giant Center, this game did not disappoint.

Hershey got on the board first in the second period with a goal from Stan Galiev in the first 57 seconds of the period. Wilkes-Barre would respond and respond big, with three goals in the second to give them a 3-1 lead going into the third.

Kris Newbury would cut that lead to 3-2 with a shorthanded breakaway only 17 seconds into the third. It would be another 16 minutes until Hershey tied the game up with a goal from Chris Conner against his former team.

This one would come down to extra time, when Mike Moore netted his first goal of the year, giving Hershey the extra point and win.

The win would mark Hershey’s third win of the season when they were trailing after two periods and improve their record over Wilkes-Barre to 6-2-2-0. The Bears are back at it Sunday night at the GC against Lehigh Valley for another in division rivalry game.
