On Tuesday afternoon, a group of Hershey Bears players made a special visit to the Penn State Children’s Hospital at Hershey Medical Center, interacting with kids and making a fun holiday craft.
“This means a lot to us,” Bears defenseman Madison Bowey said. “Any chance you can help to make these kids day is awesome. They put a smile on our face too. The kids are so happy to see us. It definitely goes a long way.”
“It’s a lot of fun,” said Travis Boyd. “It’s fun to share some experiences with these kids and hopefully make their day.”
“You realize how good you have it especially at this time of the year” said Bowey. “Growing up I always wanted to help around the community, so this is a feel good moment for sure.”
“We learned how to build a Frosty the Snowman picture frame today,” Hershey goalie Justin Peters said. This is a very humbling experience. It’s fun to see the smiles on the kids faces.”
Other Bears that participated were Jakub Vrana, Riley Barber, and Tyler Lewington.
