Hershey Bears jersey are getting some new technology for the 2018-19 season

The Hershey Bears will be rocking some new threads this season. In conjunction with CCM, all on ice Bears sweaters have been converted to the new CCM Quicklite jerseys, first seen at the 2018 AHL All-Star Classic in Utica.

This is a league-wide change for the 2018-19 season. According to the AHL, these new jerseys feature “more breathable fabric and new MixMedia cresting techniques, all designed for increased comfort, enhanced durability, better range of motion.”

CCM has added what they call “CCM DNA” to the back of all jerseys. Above the logo will be a new “signature collar design with a deboss pattern.”

The technology is also seen in Hershey’s new practice jerseys, featuring the Bears primary logo for the first time since the redesign back in 2012.

A few changes Bears fans will spot on the Chocolate and White’s jerseys this season are the depth of the collar, gold trim on the CCM logos in the dark sweaters, and the loss of a traditional string tie on the front, replaced with two cosmetic flat strings on the front.

Keep an eye on the CCM logos on the back of the jerseys this season, which have changed from a stitched design to a heat pressed design, similar to what you would see on a soccer jersey. Teams have reportedly raised a concern about the delicacy of the logos. As soccer kit men and jersey collectors will tell you, heat pressed vinyl must be carefully treated as not to damage any of the elements on a jersey (cold wash, inside out, hang to dry for anybody wanting to keep their soccer kits looking fabulous.)
