There were seven goals in tonight’s Bears-Crunch game, yet only one would go into Syracuse’s net. The Crunch scored six goals on forty shots in an effort that would force Braden Holtby out of the game and hand Hershey a 6-1 loss.
From the get-go, Syracuse dominated the game, scoring the first four goals of the match. Tyler Johnson, Pierre-Cedric Labrie, Brett Connolly, and Mark Barberio all got that little black rubber thing past Braden Holtby to give the Syracuse Hockey Club four points.
Those would be the only four goals Holtby would allow, since he would get pulled for Dany Sabourin.
The night would get a little better when Mike Carman would get the puck past Dustin Tokarski to get rid of his shutout and cut the lead to 4-1.
But that would be the high point as less then 30-seconds later Labrie would get his second of the game and extend the lead to 5-1.
Danick Gauthier would give ‘Cuse one more goal and the 6-1 lead. That would be the final as Hershey drops another one, 6-1.
