Wednesday morning Bears forwards Riley Barber and Garrett Mitchell spent their morning with abc27’s morning crew. Ali Lanyon and James Crummel talked to the two about this season and life in the sweetest place on earth.
abc27 will once again televise seven Hershey Bears games this season. The announcement was made by the Bears and abc27 this afternoon.
Four more Hershey Bears games will be televised this season on abc27.2 RTV in Harrisburg. The games will all be road telecasts and key games in the Bears playoff drive. The announcement of the remaining telecasts was made this afternoon.
On a cold January day, three Hershey Bears walked into Hershey’s Chocolate World for an experience they will never forget. Chay Genoway, Nate Schmidt, and Patrick Wellar enjoyed a day of chocolate, chocolate, and hairnets. The three defensemen rode the world famous Great American Chocolate Tour Ride before creating their own Hershey’s chocolate bar. Luckily, there were cameras to capture the moments of hilarity.
Patrick Wellar would design Chay Genoway’s chocolate bar wrapper, Genoway designing Nate Schmidt’s wrapper, and Schmidt designing Wellar’s.
Thanks to our friends at abc27, we have a very special video to share with you this Thursday. A group of award winning photographers at abc27 followed the final game at Hersheypark Arena from when the doors opened to the last fan leaving for the last time. This is a rare view of the Arena which many have seen, but not many have captured in this form. The video only lasts 202 seconds, but the memories from that night will last a life time.
The Hershey Bears are back on tv this season. abc27 will televise seven Bears games this season. The announcement was made Tuesday afternoon. The first telecast will be next week, Wednesday December 11th at 7:00pm from Binghamton. The second announced telecast will be Friday January 24th at 7:00pm from Syracuse. It will be the first telecast of a game from Syracuse in the long history of Bears broadcasts on abc27. Five more telecasts will be announced in the coming weeks.

Two weeks ago tonight, we held our second ever Hershey Bears viewing party over at the Warwick Hotel in Hummelstown. We had some very special silent auction and raffle items and a special guest!
The Hershey Bears are back on TV with five regular season games on abc27. The Bears announced today the schedule of the games on abc27.2 RTV. Four road games and one home game make up abc27’s schedule. The voice of the Bears, Scott Stuccio, will be joined by abc27 sports director, Gregg Mace, to call the action.
This afternoon, the Hershey Bears and abc27 sports announced the broadcast of the Washington AHL Showcase at Verizon Center. The December 6th game between the Hershey Bears and Norfolk Admirals will be broadcasted live on abc27’s digital channel, 27.2.
This past Wednesday night was a special one for Sweetest Hockey as it was our first ever Hershey Bears viewing party! This was all in conjunction with the Hershey Bears Wives, Hershey Bears Booster Club, abc27, The Old Barn Hockey Show, and Fire Alley with the proceeds from a raffle going to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania.
