The Bears are in action tonight against Norfolk with just over a month to go in the regular season.

Dmitri Orlov practiced with the big boys and received some positive feedback [WaPo]

Russian Machine Never Breaks also caught up with Orlov after his first Bears home game. [RMNB]

Sheldon Souray got a mention in the Wall Street Journal.  Of course the article is titled “Where the NHL Stashes Its Mistakes”.  Don’t worry, Sheldon.  We still love you. [WSJ]

Former Bear Greg Amadio gets his hair cut for “Locks of Love”.  He was inspired to do so because of a young fan that he met while playing for the Bears.  “He was a big fan of ours, and I just thought it was the least I could do to show a little support for him and he showed to me.” [Mlive]

“Ask the Caps: Mathieu Perreault”  The “Little Dog” answers fan questions. [WaPo]

Jay Beagle was recalled to Washington where he is slated to stay for the remainder of the season.  He is ineligible to be placed on Hershey’s clear day roster. [PennLive]

  1. I read the article about the AHL and some of its players being the “unwanted” in the NHL. He makes the assertion that all of these cities and arenas are dumps. How little the man knows, Hershey is a first class home to a first class team…next time do your homework!!!

  2. personally I think what you see is what you’ll get on Monday. The only addition that I could see would be a goaltender but I am not even sure they will do that.

  3. You know i read that article about the salary loophole… what confused me the most in the article was they felt the need to remind us Sheldon Souray used to be married to a Baywatch beauty.. how is that relevant at all? lol
