Bears Announce First Ever Hockey ‘n Heels

It’s an idea that many pro teams have done with great success. Now the Hershey Bears have announced their first ever “Hockey ‘n Heels.” The program will take place at Giant Center Thursday November 7 at 6:00pm. It’s an event for female fans, from the novice fans to those who have watched the game for years.

Participants will go through four different sessions including “Hockey 101” with Head Coach Mike Haviland and the voice of the Bears Scott Stuccio. discussing the fine points of the game. Other sessions include on ice shooting, passing and a tour of the locker room, along with discussions of training and equipment.

The event will also include a social hour and a chance to meet selected Bears players. You must be 21 or over to attend. Tickets are $50.00 and can obtained at hersheybears.com. There are only 200 tickets available for the event.

Here is a list of the four sessions the ladies will apart of:

  • Session 1: Hockey 101 – Bears’ Head Coach, Mike Haviland, and Broadcaster, Scott Stuccio, will explain hockey lingo, positions, and penalties.
  • Session 2: On-Ice Shooting – Select players will demonstration how to take a proper shot on net.
  • Session 3: On-Ice Passing – Select players will give passing technique tips, which the participants will then get to try.
  • Session 4: Equipment & Medical – Hershey Bears’staff will speak about the players’ training and equipment, while ladies take a tour of the locker room.
