abc27 to Televise 2016 Calder Cup Finals Games from Cleveland

The Hershey Bears and abc27 announced Thursday afternoon they will be televising all of the Hershey Bears away games in the 2016 Calder Cup Finals from Cleveland. Games Three and Four will be on abc27’s digital channel, 27.3, and Game Five will be on abc27’s main channel in high definition.

BEARS, ABC27 ANNOUNCE ROAD BROADCAST SCHEDULE FOR CALDER CUP FINALS
Catch the Finals in Central Pennsylvania Live from Cleveland

HERSHEY, Pa. – The Hershey Bears Hockey Club, in conjunction with abc27, announced today that the road games of the 2016 Calder Cup Finals will be broadcast live to central Pennsylvania viewers. The announcement was made by Bears President/General Manager Doug Yingst.

The Hershey Bears and Lake Erie Monsters are underway in the final round, with the Monsters having claimed the opening game by a 4-1 score on Wednesday night in Chocolatetown. Game two of the series is set for Friday, June 3 at 7:00 PM at GIANT Center. The series then shifts to Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio for games three, four and (if necessary) five.

Bears radio voice Scott Stuccio will provide the play-by-play action, while abc27 sports director Gregg Mace will again provide in-game analysis and special features to air during intermissions.

Games three and four will be aired on abc27.3, available on the local channels listed below. If necessary, game five will air on abc27’s main broadcast channel in full high definition.

The M&C Foreign Car Parts pre-game show kicks off all radio broadcasts 40 minutes prior to puck drop. Washington Capitals radio voice John Walton returns to his roots for the radio call for all three road games.

Local affiliate abc27 has been the proud flagship television station of the Hershey Bears for over 16 years. The station carried the 2013 Capital BlueCross AHL Outdoor Classic from HERSHEYPARK Stadium, and is now hosting its fifth Calder Cup Final (2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010).
