Connor Hobbs leaves Saturday’s Bears game with injury

Connor Hobbs left Saturday night’s Bears game with an apparent upper-body injury.

Hobbs, 20, has played in nine games for Hershey this season.

The rookie defenseman went in for a hit in front of the Bears bench on a Marlies forward when the Toronto player jumped out of the way seconds before impact.

Hobbs crashed into the boards and went down right away. After stepping onto the bench and checking what looked to be his left arm, he headed to the Hershey locker room with Bears trainer Dan “Beaker” Stuck.

He did not return after leaving the game.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.

UPDATE: Troy Mann said postgame that Hobbs went to the hospital for x-rays. No further update was provided.
