Forward Liam O’Brien has re-signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Washington Capitals for the 2017-18 season.
Stan Galiev has officially signed with Ak Bars of the KHL.
After some issues in his first attempt trying to head back to Russia, Galiev agreed on a two-year contract with Ak Bars. He returns to the KHL after a five-year stint with the Capitals organization. A career year with Hershey ended with disappointment and a statement saying “I just need a good opportunity,” during the Bears exit interview day. He now gets that opportunity back in Russia, along with hopefully a chance to play for the Russian Olympic team.
