A surreal feeling was felt walking out of Hersheypark Stadium after nearly three hours of sitting in the cold and wind.
One of the oldest and most storied AHL teams, with a rabid fanbase and trophies to back it up were walking out of Hersheypark Stadium in a stunned silence.
Moments before, Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins forward Paul Thompson took an outlet pass from defenseman Joey Mormina, skated in and wristed the puck over the glove of Bears goaltender Dany Sabourin to win AHL Game #593 2-1 in overtime.
Outdoor Classic to be Televised on abc27

The Outdoor Classic between the Bears and Penguins will be seen live on abc27 Harrisburg in HD Sunday at 5pm. The Bears and abc27 made the announcement late today.
Hershey Bears and abc27 Announce Five Televised Games
The Hershey Bears are back on TV with five regular season games on abc27. The Bears announced today the schedule of the games on abc27.2 RTV. Four road games and one home game make up abc27’s schedule. The voice of the Bears, Scott Stuccio, will be joined by abc27 sports director, Gregg Mace, to call the action.
Hershey Bears Teddy Bear Toss: 2012
It’s that time of year again; Teddy Bear Toss time. Every holiday season, thousands of Bears fans bring thousands of stuffed animals to Giant Center. When the Bears score the first goal, the stuffed animals rain onto the ice. 12,497 stuffed animals benefit Children’s Miracle Network. It took the Hershey Jr. Bears and even some players 20 minutes to gather the bears following Tomas Kundratek’s second period goal. WHTM-TV to Televise Bears-Admirals Game from DC
This afternoon, the Hershey Bears and abc27 sports announced the broadcast of the Washington AHL Showcase at Verizon Center. The December 6th game between the Hershey Bears and Norfolk Admirals will be broadcasted live on abc27’s digital channel, 27.2.
