Sunday night, following the Bears victory over Manchester, hundreds of fans lined up to get autographs and pictures with their favorite Bears players. Not only did the fans get to go on the ice and get autographs, the experience gives them a chance to interact with the players as well.

Coming off an impressive come from behind victory in Binghamton on Wednesday, the Bears failed to follow up with another victory and lost to Wilkes-Barre Scranton on Friday night 5-3.

abc27 and Hershey Bears Announce Two TV Games, Five to Come

The Hershey Bears are back on tv this season. abc27 will televise seven Bears games this season. The announcement was made Tuesday afternoon. The first telecast will be next week, Wednesday December 11th at 7:00pm from Binghamton. The second announced telecast will be Friday January 24th at 7:00pm from Syracuse. It will be the first telecast of a game from Syracuse in the long history of Bears broadcasts on abc27. Five more telecasts will be announced in the coming weeks.

There was a different sense of urgency when the Bears began their game against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday night. After losing at home Wednesday to St. John’s, the Hershey players and coaches realized that their team was in trouble. Too many home losses brought a tough Friday practice and team meeting. The result was a 3-2 overtime win against the Penguins, the first of the year against their arch rivals.

When the appearance of one of the opposing players is the highlight of the evening, you know it was a long night for the Hershey Bears. Andrew Gordon returned to Hershey, this time as a member of the St. John’s IceCaps. Gordon got two ovations while doing his pre-game ritual on the bench and another when introduced as a part of the IceCaps starting lineup. His team then handed the Bears their 7th home loss in ten games 4-2.
