A playoff game usually doesn’t result in a 10 goal effort, but the Hershey Bears put together their best offensive game of the season and beat the Worcester Sharks 10-4 on Friday night to advance to the Calder Cup conference semi-finals.

With the East Division magic number down to four heading into Friday night’s game against Binghamton, the Hershey Bears looked to wrap up the regular season with two big wins. They did just that, taking down Bingo 3-2 Friday night, and finishing the season with a win over Lehigh Valley for their 100th point on the year.

Stan Galiev Recalled by Washington Capitals

On Tuesday morning we were greeted with a news that Stan Galiev was recalled to the Washington Capitals. Galiev, who is having a career year, scoring 25 goals with 20 assists, including leading the AHL in power play goals. After grinding out the last two years spending time between the AHL and ECHL, struggling to stick in Hershey, the young star is getting his shot.

It was a meeting of the rivals in Hershey for one last time this regular season. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins made their last stop in Chocolate Town, USA for the 2014-15 season. The Bears, who came into the game going 10-1-0-1 in 2015 was looking to expand their lead for first place in the East Division. With a packed Giant Center, this game did not disappoint.
