Nathan Walker might look like the normal American Hockey League player: 5’10”, plays forward, and shoots left. Yet there is something that sets him apart from the rest: he’s from Australia. Born in Cardiff, Wales, Walker’s family moved down under when he was very young.

Puckhead Returns to Hershey for Home Opener

Lamont Buford, better known as Puckhead to Hershey Bears fans, made his grand return to Giant Center Saturday night, to psych up the crowd during the 2012 home opener. Puckhead, who’s shown on the jumbotron after every Bears goal yelling “B-e-a-r-s, Bears, Bears, Bears, Woooo!”, made the trek from St. Louis, where he now currently works for the Blues. Unfortunately for Buford, the Bears were on the wrong end of an 8-7 loss, which happened to be the most combined goals scored in a Bears home opener ever. At least, he got to hear himself on the jumbotron seven times and also see a Gordie Howe hat trick.

Below the jump, check out video taken by our own Tim Stough and ABC27 of Puckhead revving up the crowd before the game. The dude’s still got it.
