One of the struggles the Hershey Bears have had this year is finding the back of the net. When the Bears score, they only score an average of two to three goals a game. When Hershey is able to put four goals on the board, they normally don’t have an issue with winning the game. But in the wonderful world of hockey, that’s not always the case.

Stan Galiev Gives Hershey Lead With Beautiful Goal (Video)

Stan Galiev is a man on a mission and nobody is going to stop him. Only scoring seven points in his first two seasons in the AHL, the Moscow, Russia native has 19 points so far this season, including 12 goals. One of those goals, scored Saturday night against the Albany Devils, became automatic #SCTop10 worthy after his coast to coast, cut in front of the net, score, then get tripped, move put Hershey up 3-2.

Justin Peters Finishes Conditioning Stint with Hershey

After a weekend stay in Hershey, goaltender Justin Peters was recalled by the Washington Capitals early Monday morning. Peters hasn’t seen any game action in over a month, since former Bear Braden Holtby has played in 23 consecutive games. The Caps decided to gave Peters a chance to get some of the rust off before returning to the NHL, where he is scheduled to start on Saturday against the Dallas Stars.

Bears Erupt in Third Period, Win Big Over Devils

It was a rare Friday night home game on Giant Center ice, and nothing short of the biggest win of the season. Trailing 1-0 entering the final stanza against the Albany Devils, the Hershey Bears responded with four unanswered goals and cruised to an astonishing 4-1 win.

With out of town help provided by the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the Bears are now within three points of the eighth and final playoff spot.

Betting on Bears: Hershey Tops Albany 3-2 on Boardwalk

Every year, thousands of American football fans lose a pocket full of money after making foolish bets on the Super Bowl. Then of course you have that one jerk, who watches three games a season, makes and outrageous bet and picks Seattle to win by a 35 point spread and pockets several figures of cash that night. Only in America.

It’s a question mark whether there are AHL fans who bet on regular season matches, but if that were the case, the Hershey Bears have proven to be a safe bet thus far in 2014. Following a 3-2 shootout win Friday night against the Albany Devils, the Bears improved to a fantastic 14-4-1-0 record in the new year.

Bears Capture Sixth Straight GC Win in Third Period Comeback

The Hershey Bears battled the Albany Devils for the second time in as many weeks Sunday night. The Bears entered riding a 5-2-1-0 record in 2014. A win would up-lift Hershey into the eighth seed of the Eastern Conference standings.

The Chocolate and White also entered with a five game winning streak on Giant Center ice.

A two-goal, third period comeback lifted the Bears for the second time this season over Albany by a 4-3 shootout final.

A Boardwalk Beat Down: Bears Throttle Devils, 4-1

The historic Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall hosted the first meeting of the 2013-14 season between the Albany Devils and Hershey Bears. Brandon Segal continued to dismantle opponents on the scoring sheet, Michael Latta channeled his inner Joel Rechlicz and Riley Gill earned his first AHL win during a 4-1 Bears win.

Bears Drop Final Meeting Against Albany, 5-3

The Albany Devils have possessed Philipp Grubauer’s number all season long, and the frustrating trend continued Friday night. On February 24, the Devils hosted the Hershey Bears in the former home of the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in Atlantic City. The Devils buzzed Grubauer and yielded six goals en route to a 6-4 defeat on the boardwalk.

Over a month later, Times Union Center in Albany hosted the final Bears-Devils match up of the 2012-13 campaign. Grubauer left the game after surrendering three goals on seven shots, leading to an Albany 5-3 win.

Casey Wellman Tallies Twice but Bears Defensive Cannot Finish

Sunday afternoon the Hershey Bears traveled to Atlantic City to face the Albany Devils at the historic Boardwalk Hall. A night after his 40 save shutout spectacle, Philipp Grubauer received his second straight start in goal. Defensive turnovers and let downs in front of Grubauer led to a 6-4 loss on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.
