David Leggio Records Shutout, Bears Drown Sharks 4-0

On Saturday night, missed opportunities haunted the Hershey Bears against the Worcester Sharks leading to their tenth regulation set back of the season. A factor towards the defeat was having only a 1-for-7 success rate on the man-advantage, dropping their ranking to 24th in the 30 team American Hockey League.

The power play struggles continued into the next night against the Sharks, but the end result differed in Hershey’s 4-0 win.

The Hershey Bears have announced that they have signed forward Ryan Potulny. The 29-year-old has played the last two season in Hershey before deciding to play in the KHL at the start of this season. He injured his shoulder before the start of the season and contract was voided by his KHL team.

Wednesday morning, the Washington Capitals announced they have recalled Michal Neuvirth from Hershey. Neuvirth was on loan from DC to Hershey to help heal an ankle which was injured during warm-ups in Washington.

The Hershey Bears announced Monday morning that Jamie Johnson from his standard player’s contract to play in the KHL. The forward played in eight games this season for the Chocolate and White, scoring one goal and four points. Johnson, 31, played last season with Riga Dynamo and will rejoin them where he scored eight goals and 22 points.
