Vitek Vanecek Gets First Win of Season in Hershey’s 3-2 Win
The Hershey Bears are rolling right now, with points in five straight games, and two consecutive home wins, Hershey now has eight points in seven games this season.
Following up a 7-2 victory over Binghamton the night before, the Bears came out for Pink the Rink Sunday night against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms looking for a weekend sweep. The Bears were able to get that win, with some help from their goalie Vitek Vanecek who got his first win of the season after two quality outings this season where he could not get his first W of the season.
Bears Beat Binghamton with a Touchdown of Goals, 7-2
The Hershey Bears scored a touchdown worth of goals tonight, while Binghamton could only manage a safety. That means the Bears are the victorious team.
Here are a bunch of photos from Saturday night’s game.

It was the result nobody expected (except me). The Hershey Bears are heading back to the Calder Cup finals for the first time since 2010 and beat the best team during the regular season in the process. After taking a 3-0 series lead, the Bears lost to Toronto in game four on Friday night, 5-0. But Sunday afternoon was the Bears day, as they pulled out a 3-2 victory over the Marlies, giving them the AHL’s Eastern Conference Title.
