Bears Players Skate with American Special Hockey Association

Three hours after the Bears got off the ice at Giant Center in their first practice after winter storm Stella dropped just over a foot of snow on Chocolate Town, the hopped back on with a very special group of kids. The American Special Hockey Association’s York Polar Bears and Hershey Heros teams joined some of the Hershey players for a skate Wednesday afternoon.

The Hershey Bears lost to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 4-3 in a shootout Saturday night. Jakub Vrana, Riley Barber, and Chandler Stephenson found the back of the net for the Bears, but it wouldn’t be enough as Bridgeport would only need one shootout goal to take the extra point.

Hershey Takes Weekend Sweep With 5-3 Win Over Rochester

The Hershey Bears are one of the hottest team in the AHL right now, and nothing is stopping them. On Sunday night, they extended their winning streak to five games. With goals from Christian Thomas, Riley Barber, Nathan Walker, Garrett Mitchell, and Aaron Ness, along with a 21-save preformance from Joe Cannata, Hershey took all six possible points avaiable this weekend.
